Why customs records

Directories and trade fair lists show who wants to sell what. Customs records show who actually buys what.
Records, not guesses
We find buyers in the customs and bill of lading records of each country, not in directories or by guesswork. The companies on your list really import your product or a similar one.
A record alone is not enough
A customs record only shows a name and an address. We research every company individually: is it active today, what does it do, whom should you contact?
We never make data up
We never guess an email, phone number or contact name. Anything we cannot verify stays empty, with the reason noted, so you can trust every filled cell.
What you receive
What is on every row of your importers list?
A filterable Excel file. Every row is one company, and every company has been researched individually.
Company and country
Legal name, country and city; buyer type, such as importer, distributor or retail chain.
Product match
Which of your products the company matches; which countries it buys from according to the records, and import volume where available.
Website and company pages
Verified website and the company’s LinkedIn page.
Company contacts
The company’s business email address and phone number with country code.
Contact person
Where possible, the name and title of the person responsible for purchasing, with a professional profile such as LinkedIn.
Source, confidence score and notes
The source of every row, a confidence score from 1 to 5 and the reason for any missing data. A summary sheet shows the split by country and buyer type.

Every company gets a score that shows how well its information was verified.

We only collect information published openly for business and professional purposes; we do not use personal social media accounts. Details
- Product, HS code and target countriesWe confirm your product and its HS code with you, and choose the target countries for your package.
- Importers from the recordsWe extract the companies importing the product from the customs and bill of lading records of the chosen countries.
- Cleaning and de-duplicationWe merge different spellings of the same company and remove unrelated records.
- Individual researchWe research every company in its own language, on its own website and in public business sources, and complete its details.
- Excel deliveryWe deliver a filterable Excel file with a summary sheet. If you wish, we review the results with you in an online meeting.

Is this a sale of customs data?
No. We do not hand over a dump of customs records. We select the companies importing your product from the records, research each one and prepare a new list just for you. The rules for using the list are in our Research Delivery and Use Terms.
Which countries do you cover?
We work with the records of 177 countries and 31 regions, and choose the target countries with you, based on your product. Full list: Data coverage and sources.
What if some information cannot be found?
That cell stays empty and the Notes column explains why. We never fill data in by guesswork. Companies we cannot verify are not on the delivered list; they appear on a separate sheet.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on the number of products and the country scope; the delivery date is written in our quote.
Can I email the companies on the list?
Yes, for your own sales work. Your messages must follow the rules of the buyer’s country and give recipients a way to opt out of further messages. The list may not be sold or shared with anyone else.
Do I need to know my HS code?
No. Describe your product and we confirm the code with you before the research starts.
How do I pay?
By credit card, through the secure payment link in our quote; your card details never reach us. Taxes, if any, are stated in the quote.
What should I do after I receive the list?
You can contact the companies yourself. If you prefer, we handle the first contact, correspondence and meetings: Export consulting.
