Data Coverage and Sources
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This page explains which countries’ records we use in our buyer and supplier research, where these records come from, and what we deliver to our clients.
1. Which records do we use?
Our research relies on three sources:
- Customs and bill of lading records of the countries listed below. Import and export declarations and sea freight bills of lading that these countries make available under their own laws. We access these records through licensed international trade data providers.
- Public company sources. Companies’ own websites, official trade registers and business contact details that companies publish themselves.
- Our own research. We review every company found in the records one by one and verify its current status, line of business and contact details.
2. Source countries
Our sources are the records of foreign countries; we do not use records of the Turkish customs administration. The countries and territories whose records we use are listed in section 6.
A foreign country’s records may name a Turkish company as the seller or buyer in a shipment. This information comes from that foreign country’s own records, not from Türkiye.
3. What do we deliver?
We do not sell raw data. We identify the companies that buy or sell your product, research each of them separately and deliver a new list or report prepared for you. How you may use the delivered work is set out in our Research Delivery and Use Terms.
4. Accuracy
Customs and bill of lading records come from official sources in each country; typing errors, gaps and publication delays originate there. We check every company we deliver, but we cannot be held responsible for errors in the source records or for company details that change later.
5. If your details appear in our research
Companies and people whose details appear in our work can learn how their information is handled, or ask to be removed, on our Notice to Companies and Individuals in Our Research page.
6. Countries and territories covered: 177 countries and 31 territories
The list reflects the countries and territories our data providers give access to and is updated as that coverage changes. The record types (imports, exports, bills of lading) and periods available differ by country; we confirm what is available for your product in our first meeting.
